Translate a PDF or document on iPhone

Snap translates a whole PDF or a scanned document and exports the translation as a PDF. It can also explain a contract, official letter or form in plain language.

Steps

  1. Open Tools

    Open Snap and go to the Tools tab.

  2. Translate a document

    Tap Translate a document, then choose Scan pages or Choose a file.

  3. Pick the language

    Confirm the language you want it translated into and tap Translate.

  4. Export

    Read the result and export the translation as a PDF.

Questions

Is the explanation legal advice?
No. Snap is not legal advice. An explanation helps you understand a text, and a lawyer should check a contract.
Where does my document go?
Some features send text to a cloud service to read, translate or explain it. The data travels over an encrypted connection and is not stored on Snap servers.
What about a PDF that is only images?
Scan the pages with the camera option instead, or the app tells you if it cannot read the text of a file.
